TEHRAN The Iranian "Mothers' Love" directed by Kamal Tabrizi received award from Berlin Film Festival as one of the best films in children's section. According to the Public Relations Department of Farabi Foundation in a ceremony held at the conclusion of "49th Berlin Film Festival" on sunday "Mother's Love" from Iran and an American film "The Tic Code" by Gary Winick selected as best films by juries.

The prize of the film festival is 15000 German mark which was handed out to both Iranian and American directors. Another Iranian film screened in Berlin was "Glass Agency" directed by Ebrahim Hatamikya. His film was shown in forum section which drew large audience and various aspects of the film discussed. Meanwhile, to the surprise of many movie critics, the top golden bear prize at Berlin's 49th International Film Festival was won by director Terrence Malick's powerful American war film, "The Thin Red Line", already nominated for seven Hollywood oscars.

This year's movie jamboree was the last to be held in the downtown Zoo Palast Cinema. Next year the 50th Berlin International Film Festival will be stayed in a big new movie complex housed on the rebuilt Potsdamer Platz.
